Summary/Abstract: The article explores the feminization debate from a variety of perspectives that have dominated much of the discourse on the role of women teachers within expanding education systems, as well as the perceptions of teaching as a gendered profession; remuneration, the lack of male role models and the gender patterns of students’ development within education, and the issue of feminization and students’ performance and their psychosocial development. In addition, the study aims to raise the issue of possible solutions for feminization and to help decision-makers, researchers and other interested individuals to gain a better understanding of the problem.
