Summary/Abstract: In August 2021, several legislative acts were published in the Official Journal, among which we mention: O.G. no. 6/2021 on reducing the environmental impact of certain plastic products; GEO no. 90/2021 on some measures in the field of public pensions; O.G. no. 2/2021 on waste disposal; Order of the Minister of Internal Affairs no. 109/2021 on the initial training, in 2021, in the training institutions of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of local police officers in the field of public order and peace and in the field of road traffic; Order of the Minister of Justice no. 3846/C/2021 on the conditions for advancement to the next higher military rank in the same category for staff who have been prison officers/special civil servants/military officers in the prison system. Moreover, in August, several legislative acts were amended, among which: Fiscal Code; Fiscal Procedure Code; Law no. 98/2016 on public procurement; Law no. 99/2016 on sectorial procurement; Law no. 100/2016 on works concessions and service concessions; Law no. 101/2016 on remedies and appeals in relation to the award of public procurement contracts, sectoral contracts and works concession and service concession contracts, as well as for the organization and functioning of the National Council for the Settlement of Disputes; GEO no. 98/2017 on the ex ante control function of the award process of public procurement contracts/framework agreements, sectorial contracts/framework agreements and works concession and service concession contracts; GEO no. 82/2016 for the approval of the Special Statute of the specific public function of social inspector and for the modification and completion of some normative acts; Order of the Minister of Health and the President of the National Health Insurance House no. 15/2018/1311/2017 for the approval of the Norms for the application of the provisions of GEO no. 158/2005 on social health insurance leave and allowances. Furthermore, the Government Decision no. 826/2021 regarding the extension of the state of alert on the Romanian territory starting with 11 August 2021, and establishing the measures to be applied during this state for preventing and fighting against the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic, was published in the Official Journal of August.
