Summary/Abstract: The Crimea Platform provides a flexible international format that structures a long-term vision for the occupation of Crimea, strengthening international efforts and synergies at intergovernmental, parliamentary and expert level. The real benefits of the Crimea Platform lie in increased international attention which will act as a real factor in preventing violations of human rights and fundamental freedoms, torture and inhuman or degrading treatment, and not least political oppression, attributed to the Russian occupation authorities1.
