Summary/Abstract: The international term anthroponym and the domestic term personal name are both in linguistic literature and as specific onomastic terms considered synonymous in some languages. In the systematic classification of onomastic terminology, these terms are also presented in a hyperonymic-hyponymic relationship. The paper deals with an overview of the definition and methods of systematic classification of the terms anthroponym, personal name, individual anthroponym, group anthroponym, especially in Slavic onomastics, and gives a proposal for their unification within synonymy and their basic systematic division. Finally, the author submits a proposal for their unification within their definition, synonymy and basic systematic division.
