Summary/Abstract: In today’s digital world, marked by globalisation and the rapid transfer of information over extraordinary distances, the social and public position of historiography - which has found itself in unprecedented new conditions - has been brought into question, particularly when it comes to the challenges of the popularisation of history. Within the series of questions that the popularisation of history raises, it is possible to separate a smaller part that interests us here – local history and its presentation. In this paper will be presented the challenges and possibilities of the popularisation of the scientifically-based knowledge of historiography using the example of Senj’s history and the Bulwark of Europe project.
