Summary/Abstract: The paper binds the process of colloquialization of media discourse in Bulgaria with manipulation by Bulgarian popular mass media of its consumers. The examples illustrate how the expressive function of some colloquial lexical units – quantifiers – commit or facilitate manipulation with different meanings of quantity.
