Summary/Abstract: Marin Vlada was an eminent professor and researcher at the University of Bucharest. As a full member of CRIFST, he was one of the most dynamic and enthusiastic collaborator who performed a sustained activity of scientific and organizational research within the Division of History of Science. Moreover, he was the editorial secretary of the NOESIS Journal and a member of the editorial board of Studies and Communications Journal.His professional career started at the University of Bucharest, where he obtained a Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics – specialisation in Informatics, at the Faculty of Mathematics and Informatics in 1978, a Master’s Degree in Informatics in 1979 and a PhD. in Informatics in 1997, with the Doctoral thesis entitled “Models for exploring the databases of information and applications in artificial intelligence”, and the title of Associate Professor in 2001. His courses – Computer Graphics, Computational Geometry, Graphic Processing Systems, Artificial Intelligence, Logical Programming, Declarative Programming, Operating Systems, Computer Architecture, Programming Techniques, Procedural Programming, Computer Programming, Web Programming, Office Automation and Multimedia Techniques, Methodology of Teaching informatics, e-communication Techniques, Informatics, Analysis and Processing of Experimental data, e-learning Technologies – have contrib uted to the formation of generations of students as associate professors.
