Summary/Abstract: In this article we deal with a specific category of glass products which were discovered at the East of the Carpathian Mountains. We identified 15 glass beakers that, according to the international typology, can be divided into three main categories. The first one comprises most of the items and, consequently, it was divided into six sub-categories. Regarding the context of their discovery, for five of them, it could not be retraced [Poieneşti (Catalogue no. 8), Băiceni (Catalogue no. 9, 11-12), Todireni (Catalogue no. 15) and maybe Poieneşti (catalogue no. 4) which was allegedly found in trench no. 70]. Other seven belong to the funeral inventory, both of inhumation [(Catalogue no. 1), Miorcani (Catalogue no. 2), Iacobeni (catalogue no. 3) and Poieneşti (Catalogue no. 5)] and incineration tombs [Branişte-Nemţişor (catalogue no. 10), Bârlad-Valea Seacă (Catalogue no. 13) and Bogdăneşti (Catalogue no. 14)]. Only two could have belonged to settlements, since they were discovered in some pits [Bârlad-Valea Seacă (Catalogue no. 6) and Iaşi-Nicolina (Catalogue no. 7)].Glass beakers were quite uniformly spread in the area of Sântana de Mureş culture, from the East of the Carpathian Mountains, being found in various centers. This proves the fact that these products were highly valued by the bearers of Sântana de Mureş culture, which had both the possibility and the opportunity of buying such items.
