Summary/Abstract: The purpose of the article is to determine the specifics of the formation of local history content in electronic libraries based on the use of new technologies and the dissemination of information in scientific libraries of the Odesa region. The methodology of the research is the analysis of theoretical sources on the research problem, collection of empirical data (analysis of functioning electronic libraries of scientific institutions), synthesis of theoretical and empirical materials. The scientific novelty of the research lies in the analysis of the principles of formation of local history web content of electronic libraries of scientific library institutions of Odessa. On the basis of monitoring the local lore activity of libraries, the main scientific result appears in the argumentation of the electronic library as a reference and information infrastructure and digital repository of historical and local lore heritage. Conclusions. The deepening of libraries into the global network has led to the development of new Internet projects and the creation of unique digital content. Only in recent years, there has been a significant breakthrough in the field of electronic local lore resources. At the same time, information technology has become an integral part of the local history activities of scientific libraries. This has facilitated the access of researchers and local historians to the resources of libraries with the greatest completeness and convenience, meeting scientific, educational, and information needs. Local lore web content is becoming an effective tool for promoting libraries in cyberspace, as well as disseminating local lore knowledge.
