Summary/Abstract: The article presents, in a pragmatic and concise manner, the main psychological imperatives, which the military leaders of strategic level must take into account.Permanently in the grip of some very significant decision-making processes, the military leaders at strategic level tends to focus on pure managerial, economic-financial and professional aspects of their area of responsibility, often neglecting the psychological aspects.Thus, this article tries to bring to their attention psychological concepts such as: cognitive, emotional and social intelligence, problem solving, critical thinking, subordinate motivation, communication, personality, leadership style, perception of the international environment, but also of the current reality, psycho vulnerabilities - pathological, psychological aggression and not only.
