Summary/Abstract: This paper tries to demonstrate that polarimetric data processing methods provide essential elements for a more refined analysis of GEOINT information. The analysis of the results and of the effectiveness in applying the fully polarimetric imagery processing, demonstrate that they lead to a significant improvement of the automatic target recognition performance, compared to the performance achieved by using singlepolarization channel imagery, and, consequently, to the improvement of the GEOINT products.
