Summary/Abstract: Since the creation of the divers section in the Romanian Navy and up until the 60`s, they would use the classical diving equipment, with surface oxygen delivery.Ten years after the end of World War II, Romania bought some modern diving equipment from the USSR. This sparked the creation of its separate combat diving unit, imbolded by the actions of their pioneer: commander Constantin Scarlat.
