Summary/Abstract: Sculptor Constantin C. Constantinov is among the sculptors, who were formed in the Soviet period and who became known as artists under the yoke of the totalitarian regime, but who were able to distinguish values from non-ones, and promulgate their own worldview and their own creative style, include the sculptor Сonstantin С. Сonstantinov. He was born on February 10, 1943 in the city of Mary, Turkmenistan. In the period from 1958 to 1963, he studied at the Republican Art School by the name “I. E. Repin” in Chisinau, in the department of sculpture, having A. F. Maiko as his teacher. In 1968 he graduated from the Moscow Higher Industrial Art School (former Stroganov School), Department of Monumental and Decorative Sculpture, where his professors were S. L. Rabinovich and S. N. Volkov. Identification of the essence through typification, realistic details and psychological aspects are characteristic of the portrait in the vision of the sculptor Сonstantin С. Сonstantinov. The nude nature created by him is different by psychological depth, which allows highlighting the personality, aspirations, and deceptions of the characters. Also, the animalistic genre in the vision of the sculptor is a metaphorical and symbolic one. The figures of style are present in his works, along with other own formulas created by him. Thus, the portrait, nudity and animalistic genres in the vision of sculptor Сonstantin С. Сonstantinov become important, like a valuable life experience.
