Summary/Abstract: This paper is focused on the history of the Kingdom of Bohemia at the turn of the 13th and 14th centuries in the chronicle composed by the abbot John of Viktring. This narrative source of foreign provenance is an interesting comparative material to the Zbraslav Chronicle, though in this study, it will also be presented as a work of its own distinctive character, which its author created for reasons that were different from those of many of his contemporaries.
