Summary/Abstract: The purpose of this article is to analyze and evaluate the changes that were introduced by the act dated 31 march 2020 amending the act on special solutions related to the prevention, counteraction and eradication of COVID-19, other infectious diseases and crises caused by them and other certain acts, which amended the Criminal Code in the field of the crime of stalking. The extended features and amended limits of the statutory threat of imprisonment were considered, as well as other criminal consequences resulting from the introduced changes. The article also addresses the most important methodological aspects of the prosecutor’s work in the conduct of preparatory proceedings in cases of stalking, which were influenced by the above act. The analysis carried out will allow concluding that the amendment to the Criminal Code in the field of the crime of stalking was partly justified, however, it still raises controversy, especially regarding the tightening of criminal liability.
