University’s documentation in the Act of July 20, 2018: the law on higher education and science

Summary/Abstract: Besides significant changes in the system and rules of functioning of universities and scientific institutions in Poland, the Act of 20 July 2018: the Law on Higher Education and Science contains provisions on the rules of dealing with university’s documentation. It specifies that there should be an archive at every university. This archive stores the documentation generated by that university. More detailed regulations apply to documentation of the studies of individual students. For this purpose, the Minister of Science and Higher Education issued a regulation of September 27, 2018.The legislator also specified the procedure to be followed in the event of liquidation of a public and private university and pointed out the rules when dealing with documentation produced by the university federation.
