Summary/Abstract: Conflagrations were one of the major natural threats to order and internal security in the Kingdom of Poland. Government was forced to introduce comprehensive solutions against negative consequences of fires. One of the key components of that solution was to implement harsh penal regulations for the arsonists. The aim of the article is to depict the ideas of protection against fires and conflagrations in penal regulations in the Kingdom of Poland.
