Summary/Abstract: The aim of this article is to present six pieces of jewellery made of gold, discovered at Micia. The items are part of the archaeological collection of the Museum of Dacian and Roman Civilisation. The four earrings belong to the inventory of two graves unearthed in 1967 and 1977 during the salvage excavations in the eastern necropolis, works occasioned by the construction of some annex buildings of the Mintia power plant. Two of the earrings fit in the closed hoop type with a hook-and-eye fastener. The first one is a simple circular wire (Fig. 2) (inv. no. 29725, 1.4 cm in diameter, 1.14 g in weight), the second piece has a fragmentary pendant attached (Fig. 3) (inv. no. 21965, 1.43 cm in diameter, 1.77 g in weight). The next earrings are forming a pair (Fig. 4) (inv. no. 21963-21964, 1.5 cm and 1.36 cm in diameter, 1.90 g and 0.96 g in weight) and are also circular in shape, with spiral wire decoration and a hanging pendant. One of the earrings preserves its entire shape, with a dark purple glass conical bead hanging on the pendant. These kinds of earrings have analogies all over the Roman Empire and they are generally dated in the 2nd-3rd centuries AD.The last two items (Fig. 5) (inv. no. 1433, 0.37 g and 0.46 g in weight, 1.17 cm and 1 cm in length) belong to the old collection of Deva museum. According to the inventory register they were found at Micia, but there is no information regarding the time and context of the discovery. Most likely, these objects are segments of a necklace, shaped like double seeds (or maybe like wing cases of insects from the Coleoptera order), with a striated wire between them. However, they could also have been pendants for certain earrings.
