Summary/Abstract: In this article we will present some ideas and procedures for applying video design in opera performances, using the ArKaos software. The realization of a complex scenography through IT tools, with applications in the theatrical field, allows the exploration of new dimensions in the performing arts. Technology thus meets a very old and beloved musical genre, with a strong tradition, opera, managing to enrich its potential, without diminishing the original artistic intention. Video mapping processes allow the new generation of directors and scenographers to explore various possibilities of composing the scenic space and translating the directorial concept through images, thus offering the public new experiences and shaping a visual universe with deep meanings and a strong impact.
