Summary/Abstract: Coal transport developed following the development of mines and the needs of market and rail vehicles. Rail transport transports straight coal from the production units to the Separation. A narrow-gauge railway has been built on these sections, and coal is transported exclusively by rail vehicles, locomotives and wagons. Locomotives have found application as traction vehicles. The Kakanj mine is in the possession of the mining railway from the "Haljinići" plant to the "Separation" plant, which was built in the period from 1956 to 1958. The mine railway is a narrow-gauge railway with a track width of 600 mm with rails of type S-22a, connecting and fastening accessories for the same type of rails and beech impregnated sleepers with dimensions / 1.5 m x 0.22 m x 0.16 m /. During 2014, a diesel locomotive type WLP50 EM / H was procured for the needs of straight coal transport.
