Summary/Abstract: All over the world, projects related to mergers and acquisitions of institutions of various types of activity are characterized by a high degree of complexity and have their own specific management. These are projects that face numerous difficulties and their execution is very complex, mainly due to time constraints and the number of tasks, but also due to relationships between people. This publication highlights various aspects of project management in financial sector entities (banks and brokerage houses) with the participation of a company providing comprehensive consulting services. The main purpose of the analysis was to describe and to compare three PMI projects related to transformation (merger of two entities) implemented in the last 5 years. The main source of data was specialized documentation from individual projects and general materials used in one of the largest consulting companies, as well as practical knowledge and skills of specialists working in this company.
