The image of today’s teacher in the Internet press in the years 2019 - 2020

Summary/Abstract: Teaching is a profession with special symbolism and considerable semantic, historical and cultural achievements. In numerous publications in the Internet press one can see great doubts Expressem by the authors about the depreciation of the teacher among other professions. On the other hand, the teaching profession is associated with a high level of prestige and trust. The observed contradictions in the perception of the role of the teacher have become grounds for an attempt to identify and describe the image of today’s teacher on the basis of the content of articles in the online press in 2019 2020. A time of extremely significant changes in the work of a teacher and broadly understood education (teachers' strike, system changes, pandemic - remote teaching). This study attempts to answer the question: what is the image of today’s teacher in the Internet press in the context of the Tyree events 2019-2020?The article consists of two parts: theoretical and empirical. The theoretical part includes the necessary terminological explanations of key concepts. In the empirical part, the Internet press is analyzed on the basis of which the image of a contemporary teacher emerges.
