Summary/Abstract: The main attention in the article is drawn to clarifying the location of the multilayer site of the Upper Palaeolithic Cosăuţi and its connection to the first terrace of the Dniester. Personal observations of the authors of the article and the study of archival materials on the stratigraphy of the site make it possible to outline the sequence in the formation of its deposits, determined for each stage by special paleogeographic conditions, which is extremely important for considering issues of geochronology.
