Summary/Abstract: By looking at the history of the Anthropocene meme’s birth the author analyses the pace at which it spreads in the infosphere, performs its qualitative analysis, and reflects on the memeplex’s wide-ranging reach along with its supposed cultural effects. Proving that it functions as a counter-memeplex to the meme of anthropocentrism, with which it currently battles over our minds’ resources, clashing with climate denial, the author proposes a thesis that because of the adaptational functions of Anthropocene it has a chance to win in the evolutionary competition of the viruses of the mind.
