Summary/Abstract: The author brings to attention the changes in the Slovak theatre of the latter half of the 1990s, which, beyond the magic line of the year 2000, have been increasingly powerful and dynamic. She makes note of the development of the plurality of theatrical forms. This process is linked to the process of the European integration of Slovak culture. She refers to the development of feministic theatre, arthterapy and dramatherapy, community theatre, and to particular individualistic concepts of the visual theatre. She contemplates the dynamic development of the Slovak theatre science, literature, and the theatre. In Lindovská’s view, the development of the invariant forms of the theatre and theatricality, new experiences, information and terminology pose a challenge to redefining the theatre of our time.
