Summary/Abstract: The aim of this paper is to identify the way in which Blaga’s feminine characters deconstruct the canon of feminity imposed at the time. This deconstruction is based on the theory of performative gender imposed by Judith Butler, who emphasized the fact that gender is not innate, but rather constructed. In the second part of the essay, in the form of an ecocritical approach, we proved the idea that there is a tight connection between women and nature on the one hand and natural disasters and patriarchy on the other hand.
