Summary/Abstract: The passive presentation of cultural heritage using Augmented Reality (AR) alone is impressive but does not take full advantage of the great potential provided by this technology. Providing the user with the ability to also interact with the virtual objects retains the user’s attention for a longer period of time. In this way allowing more knowledge about the artifact to be gained, while at the same time creating a lasting impression of the experience. This paper presents our approach to creating rich interactive experiences with quality content, through which cultural heritage artifacts can be explored so that the user can learn more about them in an engaging way.
