Summary/Abstract: Rhadamsades is known for coins and two laconic inscriptions. It is still discussed whether he can be identified as Rausimodus, who by Zosimus’s account, led the barbarians, who were defeated by the Romans, in the battles on the Danube. We believe that Rhadamsades was Tiberius Julius, the son-in-law and heir of Theothorses, and, therefore, the legitimate king of Bosporus. Moreover, he ruled this state together with Rhescuporis V, apparently his younger relative, most likely his brother. The residence of these sovereigns was in the eastern part of Bosporus. They were loyal to the emperors. Rhadamsades could not be the leader of the barbarians who attacked the Romans on the Danube.
