Summary/Abstract: Frontovoe 3 burial ground is located in the South-Western Crimea. The cemetery in question appeared in the late 1st century AD and existed as long as the early 5th century AD. There are two periods in functioning of this cemetery. Most of them belong to period 1, which is dated to the late first century — first half of the 3rd century AD. Red-slip ware is a numerous category of finds in period 1 graves. The article deals with the chronological analysis of this material based on the distribution of different types in deposits. The study was based on representative complexes containing at least two different types of red-slip vessels. The principal component analysis is the leading technique of research. The graves of period 1 are divided into three chronological groups. The reference types of red-slip vessels, characteristic of different chronological groups, are identified. The chronological groups well illustrate the spatial development of Frontovoe 3. The earliest burials are concentrated in the northwestern part of the cemetery. Over time, it expanded first eastwards, and only began to grow in the direction of the southeast.
