Summary/Abstract: The aim of this article is to discuss the metaphorisation of the discourse of neoplastic diseases in Ulf Ellervik’s popular science published between 2011 and 2016. Of my particular interest are the source domains chosen by the author. Conceptual metaphor theory is used to analyse cancer metaphors as a way of popularising science, especially the biochemistry of life.
