Summary/Abstract: This article is a reflection on the issues related to social and linguistic integration, which has been exacerbated by the influx of refugees into Europe in recent years. Germany, in particular, has become a destination country for asylum-seekers. For a significant part of the newcomers, conditions have been created to intregrate them as quickly as possible through language courses such as the so-called integration courses. Young immigrants have become their main participants. Women are an increasing group of participants and have been supported in the integration process by the national mechanisms. The author devotes her arguments to them, based on interviews, observations and a survey. The author further characterizes women as participants in language courses, to show their social and professional situation and to demonstrate the problem of preventing women from regularly attending language courses.
