Sinicization and russification of words and traditions in the border cities of China and Russia (on the example of Heihe and Blagoveshchensk)

Summary/Abstract: This article analyzes the concepts of translingualism and transculturality as a phenomenon in the new scientific interdisciplinary paradigm. The authors reviewed the typical phenomena of sinicization and the russification of words and traditions in the field of cross-cultural communication in the border cities of China and Russia. Special attention is paid to borrowed words from the Russian and Chinese languages, as well as to crosscultural cooperation between Heihe and Blagoveshchensk. The scientific article proves that there is a mutual influence on the languages and cultures of the two countries due to geographical proximity.
