Summary/Abstract: The Covid-19 pandemic caused a deep crisis with significant consequences in the political, economic, cultural and social sphere on a global scale. While the measures taken against the spread of the epidemic caused disruptions in social processes, work in some business lines came to a halt. There are a number of structural transformations such as health becoming a fundamental issue, increasing digitalization in every field, reshaping social relations, economic and artistic activities. This research is a qualitative research conducted to reveal the extent to which the working order of journalists, whose work intensity increases even more in extraordinary situations such as epidemic, war and disaster, is affected by the Covid-19 outbreak. Within the scope of the research, the opinions of 9 journalists working in the news organizations in Ankara were consulted. According to the findings of the research, it was determined that especially newspapers and televisions could not find the opportunity to apply the news gathering method from the field, that they collected the news mostly from news agencies and secondary sources they accessed by new communication media. It is concluded that this situation, which is caused by the risk of disease infection and the restriction of the participation of journalists to news sources activities, causes the newspaper and television journalists to tend to the new communication media that they partially use in the usual period.
