Summary/Abstract: " itself can be found in more than 340,000 journalistic articles on television, radio, newspapers and the web. The topic still requires special media attention. The second wave of the coronavirus pandemic was officially confirmed by the Minister of Health Marek Krajčí on August 11, 2020. It is accompanied by record increases in both victims and infected. The aim of this study is to identify how the second wave of the pandemic in Slovakia affected the professional lives of journalists and to compare these influences with the period of the first wave of the pandemic.
