Summary/Abstract: This paper is focused on current issues in new media research. We begin with data about research interest in new media field. It comes mainly from academic full text databases and published scientific papers. In the following part we describe research possibilities in case of loyalty of users to news websites. There are two information sources in these days. First of them refers to online media and second we can call „websites with harmful and distrustful content“. We point at the media content on the mentioned websites during the corona time. The critical thinking and media literacy fill the last part of our study.
