Summary/Abstract: After a long hiatus, the Hungarian State Theatre of Cluj performed again in front of a live audience: this time they presented Animal Farm, a musical theatre adaptation of Orwell’s political fable, directed by Zoltán Puskás. In her original review of the performance, Yvette Jankó Szép reflects on the relevance of the performance, animal tales and anthropomorphisation, in the light of posthuman philosophy, in the context of the changes in the theatre-going habits caused by the coronavirus epidemic. The author attempts to define man as a theatrical animal and analyses the effectiveness and success of the production in relation to this.
