Summary/Abstract: The article presents the history of Central/ Central-Eastern Europe from the perspective of imagined history. The subject of reflections is a specific phenomenon - deeply rooted in public discourse encompassing various cultural texts, ways of speaking and telling about it – in the form of Central/ Central-Eastern Europe. As categories organising the narration, three concepts are brought up: geography history, and identity. These, according to the author, make up the specific triad that coordinates our way of thinking about Central/ Central-Eastern Europe.
