Summary/Abstract: The purpose of the text is to review the book Secret Agents and the Memory of Everyday Collaboration in Communist Eastern Europe, edited by Péter Apor, Sándor Horváth, and James Mark. The first part presents the various approaches to transitional justice, the second - the political circumstances of the establishment of institutions of memory in Eastern Europe, while the last one analyses the different approaches to dealing with the communist past and selected case studies.
