Summary/Abstract: On the example of Pomerania, the article presents the questions related to the shaping of political relations within the Second Republic of Poland and mechanisms which governed politics at the regional level. In early 1920, after almost 150 years of belonging to the Prussian (German) State, the largest part of this province returned to Poland, and this fact meant that in many spheres of social life the Pomeranian Voivodeship witnessed the processes reflecting national and regional problems. This was especially evident in the sphere of politics.
