Summary/Abstract: The article is about the oblivion of feminist theories which emerge and disappear as quickly as comets. Since the very beginning, the women’s movement and feminist ideas have been accompanied by a permanent practice of reinventing the wheel. Women Studies have done a great “archaeological” job unearthing forgotten women. But from this kind of encyclopedic knowledge no feminist tradition will arise. Inspired by Latour's thoughts on criticism and Fleck’s theory of thought collectives, I ask why feminist ideas and activities are repeatedly abandoned and why the thoughts, writings and publications that once enjoyed great popularity get lost in time?
