Summary/Abstract: 2011 NATO’s Libyan Intervention which was justified on humanitarian grounds has been intensively criticized. Main criticisms are that leading to regime change, supporting one of the warring parties and consequences of the intervention. All these criticisms have led to the revision of the doctrine of responsibility to protect (RtoP) under new concepts such as Responsibility While Protecting by Brazil and Responsible Protection by China. In this study,Libyan humanitarian intervention and discussions about it are investigated in the context of these approaches . The main argument of the study is that these approaches do not bring any significant proposals that are not included the RtoP and in this context, both approaches can only be read as a critique of the Libyan intervention.
