Summary/Abstract: Private higher education in Mexico is a phenomenon that is only beginning to be studied systematically. Academic research is limited, so gropping a little, we had to find the theoretical foundations in teaching experience and direct contact with the institutions that provide this service. Without indulging in mere speculation, we gather some key concepts to compare the various types of institutions. Although sometimes the description could be offensive, we believe it is necessary to use strong language to analyze a harsh reality: the failure of private higher education in Mexico with the model as we know it. Education as every abstract category, has a speech, which most of the time does not match the real needs of a nation; therefore speech function is analyzed under the basis of power and control perspective. University speech deeply permeates in cultura, taking for granted the prestige everybody pretends. But we notice prestige implicates more protocol tan real esence, leading to the main of the many contradictions within these institutions.
