Summary/Abstract: The article presents the sharing/collaborative economy and the pillars on which the development of this phenomenon is based. On the example of Uber and Airbnb, the most important social and economic effects of this phenomenon are characterized. The reasons for taking regulatory actions in this sector were also indicated. Based on international experience, the principles of creating a legal framework for sharing economy were indicated.
