Summary/Abstract: Edirne is a city that has a strategic and cultural importance in terms of being the capital of the Ottoman State for a long time and being the gateway of the Ottoman State to Europe. In addition, Edirne is one of the cities that took place next to Anatolia in the National Struggle with the Greeks and became a supporter of the National Struggle. After the occupation of Istanbul by the Allied Powers on March 16, 1920, a declaration was issued by Mustafa Kemal and it was decided to open a “Assembly of Excellency” (Assembly with extraordinary powers) in Ankara. Upon this decision, the deputies started to come to Ankara. The assembly was opened on Friday, 23 April 1920 with the opening speech of the oldest member, Şerif Bey. Mehmet Şeref, Mehmet Faik, İsmet İnönü, Kâzım Karabekir and Cafer Tayyar, who made important contributions to this Assembly, which had extraordinary powers opened in Anatolia, were included as deputies from Edirne. In this article, the CVs of Edirne deputies who took part in the military and political phases of the National Struggle were briefly introduced, and their activities in the first parliament were tried to be explained numerically and by giving examples.
