Summary/Abstract: After the Nazi occupation, the fraudster Ervin Frankenbusch became a feared informer of the security services who ardently participated in repression against his fellow citizens, especially Jews. Initially, perhaps out of fear of persecution, but later solely out of the dizzy intoxication with his own power, he was willing to collaborate fully with the occupying Nazi forces. Not even his boundless ruthlessness, however, was enough to save his own life.
