Summary/Abstract: The last elections in the European Parliament, which is the only European Union institution formed by elections, were held on 22-24 May 2019. For the elections held during the Brexit process; Brexit debates, the strengthening of far-rights, the immigration problem, economic problems, the attitudes of the member states against the rules of the Union and various social movements became prominent on the pre-election agenda. The impact of these developments on the European Parliament makes the 2019 elections important for the future of integration. In this study, the 2019 elections were examined in terms of the dimension of participation, policy changes and common policy priorities; the results were evaluated related to the period of change. The participation rate has increased that much for the first time, while the centre-right and centre-left were losing their majority, their policy choices changed to Liberals, Greens and Extreme right, and a political group representing the far-rights was formed in the Parliament. While the impact of the Brexit decision and the increasing participation of the young population was an indicator of the support for the European Union; the United Kingdom’s withdrawal from the Union on January 31, 2020 has changed the balance in the Parliament.
