Summary/Abstract: Basmala, one of the basic elements of Islam, is an asylum phrase that is said to be pronounced in order for things to end with goodness and that believers are waiting for help from God’s mercy. The basmala, which is mentioned in Sūra an-Naml in the Qurān, has an important place in literature and it has become a tradition to write the basmala at the beginning of the classical period works. In this study, first of all, information about the basmala was given, and then the poems about the basmala were classified according to literary styles and subjects. The poems of the besmelenāme type were examined in three groups according to their content. These are the texts in which the secrets, virtues and the importance of starting with the basmala are explained. In addition, examples of this genre were examined in terms of style. Literary styles seen in this genre of poems; These are the styles of description, advice, narrate, conversation and pray. In the classification, sample texts considered to be included in the relevant title are given under each heading. Along with the works in which only the expression of basmala is written, works in which the secrets and virtues of the basmala are explained in detail, such as poetic or prose. The examples of this type, in which the subject is completely divided into basmala, starting with basmala and its importance or definition or definition of basmala, have characteristics that can constitute a genre in their own right. On this occasion, the features of this species, which are mentioned only in some studies, have been tried to be extracted from the identified samples in the article.
