Summary/Abstract: A brilliant writer, a great polemicist a journalist, and an unusual politician, Leonardo Sciascia was one of the most appreciated figures of the 20th century, in Italy. Well known for a strong commitment to analysis, in a lucid and critical way, of the politics and social situation of Italy, he was considered by many a ‘man-against’, because he was not afraid to express his opinions, taking often an oppositional stance, driven by a huge sense of justice. Analyzing certain articles, appeared on the main Italian daily newspapers and magazine, in the days after his death, i intend to observe as the ability of this author to oppose, to going against the flow, challenging the falsity and the hypocrisy, was remembered by the italian public opinion.
