Summary/Abstract: Administratively the Neslovice cadaster area belongs to western part of Jihomoravský kraj. From geomorphological point of view it is located on the border of Brno basin and Czech-Moravian Highlands. The rugged relief, relatively dense river system and close sources of quality raw materials already posed good conditions for settlement during Palaeolithic and mainly in Neolithic period. It could be based on evidence of amount of archaeological findings and sites both in neighbouring Ivančice and Oslavany areas. Nevertheless, primary source of data was provided with revision of old museum funds and old (rather amateur) excavations. Currently the data is being completed with new information gained through rescue archaeological researches. The main purpose of the presented article is to introduce actual knowledge about Neolithic and Aeneolithic settlement development in Neslovice cadastral area.
