Summary/Abstract: Blended learning is a term used to describe courses combining face-to-face classroom instruction with computer-based learning. Based on our previous research, this paper discusses the development of blended language learning/teaching practice and Flipboard application at the Faculty of Management, University of Primorska, Slovenia. During the last decade, the use of technology in education has had a large impact in the field of education not only because it can reduce cost both for students and higher education institutions, but also because of its adaptability. The ubiquity of MOOCs, increasing popularity of flipped classrooms, and other technologies and/or software (say, Flipboard) created the ability to offer high-quality higher education courses for free, and, on the other side, courses could be taken from anywhere, at any time, provided that there is Internet access.
